In all cases, the local authority’s construction contractor carried out fire door inspections at each school prior to the project starting.
Horbury Property Services was then commissioned to carry out all of the remedial works. Our FIRAS accredited teams worked out of normal hours (nights and weekends) to complete the project. At the end of each session, we ensured that all working areas were returned to a fully operational state.
The project involved the replacement of dysfunctional elements of the fire door, plus fire door adjustment and adding signage, where relevant. At the end of the project, we provided a comprehensive breakdown of remedial work undertaken, giving the client complete visibility over the materials used and door location.
General Manager at Horbury Property Services, Richard Sutton, said; “This project had to be completed within a short timeframe and it is testament to the skills and expertise of our team that we could complete it quickly and effectively. We are experienced in working in schools to provide a wide range of services, from fire safety remedials to flooring upgrades, working via refurbishment contractors or directly with local authorities or academies.”
